Our new hangar and office at Tønsberg Airport, Jarlsberg, will be located in the middle of a very active aerodrome (motor flying club, parachuting, aeromodelling), making it an enjoyable environment for all aviation enthusiasts. Elfly is a young company with relatively low experience when comparing to many aerospace players, so the workload towards an actual certified product and running operations is immense. I love the fact that all team members are well aware of that and fine with it. Our engineers are humble, realistic, and comitted to a 10-year journey. Their passion and motivation is what makes it easy to jump out of bed every morning.

What really attracted me about the Elfly Group is the bold ambitions. I clearly believe we are an important part of the transport revolution. There are a lot of challenges for us working on making the world’s first all-electric commercial amphibious seaplane, but I choose to look at all the technological possibilities. As a high voltage engineer I can recognize some of the challenges the EV were facing in the early stages.

About Elfly Group
Founded in 2018, Elfly Group is headquartered in Bergen and our research and development department is located in Sandefjord. As of today, we are a team of twenty people, and expanding. From sea to sky, from Norway to the world. At Elfly Group, we’re building the future of coastal mobility through the Noemi, the world’s first fully electric seaplane.
Elfly’s endeavours align with the Norwegian Government’s ambitions to make domestic aviation entirely emission free by 2040. Moreover the Elfly Group is a founding member of the Nordic Network for Electric Aviation, a platform where Nordic aerospace companies come together to accelerate the introduction of electric aviation in the Nordic countries.
