Senior propulsion Engineer:
We are looking for a Senior Propulsion engineer who has experience with powertrains and/or electric propulsion products. We offer an awesome opportunity to learn and impact on a clean sheet fully electric passenger seaplane program.
Main responsibilities:
- Design the architecture for a safe and reliable electric powertrain, including all components from batteries to electric motors with propellers.
- Work with vendors and contractors to design and build custom powertrain components.
- Interact with certification authorities to qualify the aircraft’s propulsion system for flight.
- Write the powertrain system requirements.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation to verify compliance with certification requirements.
- Contribute to the powertrain laboratory, ground and flight testing.
- Run safety of flight activities on the propulsion system.
- Serve as a resource to others within the work group and the organisation.
Your profile:
- University degree in Aerospace, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience with high voltage systems, preferably from the aerospace or automotive industry.
- Experience with aerospace certification and safety standards.
- Knowledge and experience in aerospace-related system safety analysis methods.
- Fluent in English, written and spoken.
- Safety-oriented attitude.
- Work in a structured and organised manner.
- Able to take initiative, ownership and responsibility.
