Aircraft Systems Safety Engineer
We are looking for an Aircraft Systems Safety Engineer who will support aircraft development, starting with our prototype program, by generating aircraft level and system level safety objectives and analyses.
Main responsibilities:
- Establish the safety process to be followed by the engineering team in accordance with Elfly product development roadmap and strategy.
- Elaborate, in collaboration with the engineering team, the aircraft functions list and the aircraft functional hazard assessment.
- At aircraft level, establish the strategy for Particular Risk Analysis (PRA) and Zonal
- Safety Analysis (ZSA) to be applied by the engineering team through the product development.
- At aircraft systems level, contribute to and review safety assessment and analyses, through the product development: :
- Functional Hazard Assessment (FHA)
- Preliminary System Safety Assessment (PSSA)
- System Safety Assessment (SSA)
- Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
- Common Mode Analysis (CMA)
- Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Support the validation of safety-derived requirements through the product development life cycle.
- Provide support for safety to the internal team as well as suppliers.
Your profile:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in electrical engineering, avionics engineering, or related field.
- Experience as a Safety Engineer within the aerospace industry.
- Knowledge of aviation certification regulations and standards.Thorough understanding of aircraft engineering concepts and principles.
- Attention to detail as required to perform safety analysis.
- Experience with aircraft safety related practices (ARP 4761).
- Experience with Failure Modes and Effects Analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with software tools for fault tree analysis.
- Fluent in English, written and spoken.
- Safety-oriented attitude.
- Able to drive tasks to completion independently.
- Willing to take initiative, ownership and responsibility.
