Avionics System Engineer
We are looking for an Avionics Systems Engineer with aerospace industry experience.
The Avionics Engineer is part of the Avionics & Electrics team and is responsible for the design and integration of the avionics system onboard the aircraft.
Main responsibilities:
- Define the avionics functions in accordance with the operational and certification requirements for a CS23 aircraft.
- Contribute to the avionics functional description and functional hazard assessment.
- Write the functional and performance requirements for Communication, Navigation and Surveillance functionalities.
- Support the avionics suppliers selection, on-boarding and further activities for the design, development and integration of the Noemi prototype.
- Define the architecture for the Communication, Navigation and Surveillance functions for the NoEmi prototype and the NoEmi aircraft.
- Lead the electrical and mechanical integration of the Communication, Navigation and Surveillance equipment in collaboration with other engineering departments.
- Conduct the validation and verification activities for the Communication, Navigation and Surveillance functions on the test bed and the test aircraft, including design evaluations, troubleshooting, and root-cause and corrective action analyses.
Your profile:
- Masters degree or equivalent in electrical engineering, avionics engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Avionics System Engineer within the aerospace industry, including safety critical functions.
- Working knowledge of systems engineering principles (ARP4754), aviation certification regulations (EASA CS23, CS27) and standards.
- Experience with supplier management and conducting test campaigns would be a plus.
- Attention to detail and quality orientation.
- Fluent in English, written and spoken.
- Safety-oriented attitude.
- Able to drive tasks to completion independently.
- Willing to take initiative, ownership and responsibility.
